The name of the team was apparently derived from New Zeland Rugby team in 2001, when the provisionally named "All Blacks" beat the "All Blacks Runners". Before that time, Giovanni Pesce the President had already started preparations with the aim of winning European championships and ultimately the NEW YORK MARATHON, dominated by ALL BLACKS RUNNERS teams at the time.
